MBA stands for Masters of Business Administration, yes.
But around the Career Protocol campus, it stands for something else:
Mindful, Brave, and Authentic.
Because we think those are the values ambitious business leaders who want to improve the world need to embody.
This is the MBA Mindset Manifesto.
Here’s what these words mean to us:
Mindful
Mindful:
Self-aware, conscious of others, kind
Mindful people focus on understanding themselves as authentically and bravely as possible.
They are self-honest and compassionate at the same time.
They treat themselves and everyone else with kindness.
They are aware of the effect they have on others and seek to make life easier, happier, better for the people around them.
They nurture relationships and value genuine human connection.
BRAVE
Brave:
Takes calculated risks, ventures out of the comfort zone, embraces failure
Brave people aim for the stars, but they keep their feet on the ground.
They don’t blame others or circumstances for the way things are; they dare to create the world they want to see.
They boldly leverage their strengths and embrace growth opportunities. They don’t fear failure, but they might fear failing to try.
They don’t indulge in weakness thinking, and they don’t limit themselves.
These are the people who claim their destiny and live life with few regrets.
Authentic
Authentic:
Expresses honestly, shares openly, connects
Authentic people know they’re not perfect but they’re proud of who they are anyway.
They openly share their values, character, and achievements right alongside their struggles, setbacks, and failures. As a result, they have the charisma of confident humility.
They never sell themselves, and they don’t brand themselves because they know they’re one-of-a-kind.
They’re intimate; they’re genuine; they connect.
They have a unique voice, and they use it. These are the people we call “inspiring.”
The world needs more Mindful, Brave and Authentic leaders.
